In a daring act, a 7-year-old boy saved his baby sister's life by jumping into her room through a window, to rescue her from a fire that destroyed their home.?
As per a report in CNN, the incident took place on December 8, in the US state of Tennessee. It was a usual night for the Davidson household before everything went wrong. Chris and Nicole Davidson had fed their children dinner, and had tucked them into bed.?
A few hours later, Nicole Davidson woke up to the smell of smoke. Within a few minutes, the family's home was up in flames, and their 22-month-old daughter was trapped in her room.?
While the couple was able to grab their 2-year-old son Elijah, and 7-year-old Eli, their daughter Erin's bedroom was surrounded by fire.?
Chris Davidson told CNN, "The smoke and fire was so thick there was no way I could get to her."?
"We went outside to get her from the window, but I couldn't find a way through. So I picked up Eli, who went through the window and was able to grab her from her crib," he added.
If that isn't heroic, I don't know what is. A brother putting himself in the harm's way, to save his sister from a fatal tragedy. The family lost their home to the misfortune, but it could have been so much worse, if not for the real-life superhero who came to the rescue.?
