However, one recent story has had the opposite reaction among the locals in the city.
People were shocked to find out that there is a heartwarming angle to the landlord-rentee scenario in Bengaluru. A tenant on Twitter shared the extraordinary tale of how his landlord surprisingly invested a total of Rs 8 lakh in his start-up, shocking users across the platform.
Pawan Gupta, the co-founder and CEO of ¡®Betterhalf¡¯, shared his story on Twitter. The company is an innovative AI-powered marriage app for singles. Gupta reshared a conversation he had with his landlord along with a WhatsApp screenshot of the landlord¡¯s messages to him that shocked his audience.
In the conversation, the landlord expressed his faith in Pawan¡¯s venture, stating, "I¡¯m investing in you, honestly," along with good wishes for his success as he wrote, "All the best and hope you reach the greatest of heights."
In response, Gupta showed the trusting landlord gratitude for his investment, saying, "Thank you, Sushil." Gupta shared the moment in a tweet and wrote in the caption, "In a tough business landscape, I found an unexpected investor in my landlord. He recently invested $10K in my startup @betterhalfai. Truly amazed by the entrepreneurial spirit everyone in Bangalore shows. Silicon Valley of India for a reason. #peakbengalurumoment."
People soon came in to congratulate the man. One user simply wrote, "This is such a great news!" While another was astonished after witnessing the moment, saying, "Woah how cool is this."??
