The story of a Bengaluru-based bike-taxi driver who is also an award-winning creative director and was laid off by a Chinese company during the COVID-19 pandemic has become an internet sensation.
"Had mixed @peakbengaluru movement," he wrote.
A Rapido rider showed up at WeWork to pick us up. "On which floor are you working?' he asked me during the ride. After introducing him, I wondered if he had been in wework, and he said yes."

"He used to work in the operations team of a Chinese company, but due to the China Apps ban lost his job in March 2020. He couldnĄ¯t find any other job due to the COVID situation. Thought of working on his longtime passion for directing films," wrote Parag.
The series went on to win 15 film festivals but did not generate enough money to sustain itself. Parag continued to say:
"Created a Mini-series by investing all savings. The Series got a great response and won around 15 Film Fests. I received interest from OTT but rejected it due to commercial issues. A project couldnĄ¯t fetch any money. After all his efforts and being financially broke for the last two years, He finally thought of riding Rapido part-time to survive. He hasn't told his mother that he has been making Rapido trips and doesn't want to make her worry."
In addition, Parag shared the business card of the Rapido driver, a freelance creative director, and urged people to contact him for any creative work.
