We all remember Dashrath Manjhi, a resident of?Bihar's Gahlaur village, who single-handedly carved a 30-foot-wide and 360-foot-long path through a hill 25 feet high using only a hammer and chisel. His work greatly reduced the villagers' travel time. Later, a movie was made on his life and it was titled Manjhi - The Mountain Man.
Now, another man from Bihar has done something similar and he's now being called 'Manjhi 2.0.' Here's what he did.?
Recently, a man from Bihar used his hands to carve 400 steps on a mountain that leads to a temple. The man has been identified as?Ganauri Paswan and is a resident of?Jaru Banwariya village.
He has reportedly?worked for eight years to create the steps on the mountain that lead to the Baba Yogeshwar Nath temple. He created the steps using only basic tools like a hammer and a chisel.
As per reports, he would occasionally be accompanied by his friends and family as well.?The man realised that the people of Jehanabad faced several challenges while visiting Yogeshwar Nath temple in Jaru Banwaria village.?
The journey was particularly difficult for elderly citizens, children, and people with disabilities.
As per reports,?Paswan said that he found several small idols during his work.?
¡°I don't know where I got all this patience and energy, It has never felt like a task to me. I would happily get lost in the mountain, working all day. I just wanted to make it easier for devotees of Baba Bholenath to reach him easily," he was quoted in new reports.
The one challenge Paswan faced was staying away from his family for the most part of the year while carving the stairs.?
