Bollywood songs and movies have long been popular in China. Since the 1970s and 1980s, Bollywood films have been a big hit in China.
In recent years, Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Aamir Khan's Dangal, and Ayushmann Khurrana's Andhadhund have all thrilled the Chinese audience to the point where they have made a significant profit at the cash counters.?
Another example of Bollywood being a chartbuster in China came from a Chinese cab driver who is now gaining hearts for his love of Bollywood tunes.
Diya, a vlogger, took to Instagram to share a video recalling her lovely Grab ride experience on January 16. The video starts with Diya seated in the back of the car, stating via on-screen text that her Chinese Grab driver is treating her to Bollywood music.?
The video shows the driver clearly enjoying the music, swaying wildly to the beats. Diya likes his demeanour, calling him "really friendly and chatty."
Diya, a 21-year-old preschool teacher, told MS News that she appreciates the driver's wide musical tastes, which include Bollywood and even Bangladeshi songs.?
The driver, eager to create a pleasant mood, played Bollywood music at Diya's request.Beyond mutual musical likes, their conversations delved into more serious subjects, such as people's aspirations for money.?
The vlogger described their conversation as "how some people wish they were very rich." He tried to highlight people's thirst for riches by asking hypothetical 'this or that' questions, Diya explained.
One of the alternatives he presented was whether one would rather be wealthy, have numerous servants, be paralyzed, or live a regular, uncomplicated life.?
The driver, who formerly worked in real estate, gave insights into his life and goals with the vlogger. Despite his age, he boldly declared that his lifelong vegetarian diet has kept him looking younger.?
