In a heartbreaking incident, a canine sentinel is reportedly watching over the rescue mission in its search for its missing puppies and it is said to have been breaking into howls of anguish while searching for its little ones.?
According to PTI, the local residents?told rescuers that the dog had not eaten anything since the day of the glacier burst.?
They had even tried to feed it several times but it has always turned away. The dog was heard crying, whimpering and also howling, day and night since that morning.

The dog has been spotted sniffing through the site, now awash with silt and sludge, standing on the side watchfully as men from multiple agencies rush around frantically from one end to the other and machines are deployed in the rescue effort.?
As the shadows lengthen and darkness fell, it stayed on, determined as it were not to move till its puppies are found.??
Of the more than 200 missing, the bodies of 38 people have been recovered and two were found alive, officials said.?
A total of 40 bodies have been recovered so far in the Uttarakhand glacier burst incident, of which most of the bodies remain unidentified.

The Uttarakhand police, State Disaster Response Fund and?National?Disaster Response Force jawans are taking out the bodies, the DGP added.
"Recovered 2 bodies from the slush of the main tunnel at Tapovan where rescue operation was going on since 7th February Uttarakhand police, SDRF and?NDRF?jawans are taking out the bodies," DGP Kumar tweeted.
Following the recovery of the two new bodies, the search and rescue operation have been intensified. A glacier broke in the Tapovan-Reni area of Chamoli District of Uttarakhand on Sunday, which led to massive flooding in Dhauliganga and Alaknanda rivers and damaged houses and the nearby Rishiganga power project.
