In a heartwarming gesture, a Dutch paramedic has gone out of his way to fulfill the dying wishes of thousands of terminally ill patients and he has made sure that the coronavirus lockdown does not pose an obstacle.
According to a?Daily Mail?report, the man named Kees Veldboer, 60 has helped to fulfill the dying wishes of more than 14,000?terminally ill patients?and has been able to continue his work despite lockdown in the Netherlands.? ?

Mr Veldboer¡¯s Stichting Ambulance Wens (Ambulance Wish Foundation) has driven patients to places they¡¯d like to say goodbye to, with unprecedented demand for tulip fields in bloom.?
A patient also recently asked to say goodbye to his horse, while another one requested to see his beloved boat for one last time.?With many people choosing to stay indoors, it means?Veldboer?is able to?get out and about with patients.
"We fulfill wishes even now with the Coronavirus. We are not in a complete lockdown so we are able to make those wishes come true.?We can go to open spaces, to flower gardens, to an empty zoo, a park, a lot of people want to see the sea, it's not forbidden," Mail Online quoted him as saying.?
"As long as we go to open places and there are not many people around, just one or two with the patient, we are fine," he said.
The retired paramedic came up with the idea for his work when he was transferring a terminally ill patient to another hospital.During a delay in the journey, he asked the patient where he would like to go and they replied they would like to see Rotterdam Harbour a final time.Mr Veldboer was even able to arrange for the stretcher-bound man to go sailing.??
Mr Veldboer is planning to transfer a terminally ill Dutchman from Spain back to the Netherlands later this week to be with his family. He added: "Coronavirus is not going to stop us, no one will."
Mr Veldboer and his wife Ineke have fulfilled the dying wishes of more than 14,000 terminally ill people since starting their foundation. They recently took a dying couple to see snow for one last time.
The Netherlands¡¯ number of confirmed coronavirus cases stands at 38,245 death toll stands at 4,518, the Netherlands¡¯ Institute for Public Health (RIVM) said in its daily update.??
