The central government of the country has suspended the recruitment process of the armed forces for the past two years in lieu of the pandemic, Covid-19. However, this suspension has been quite tough on armed forces aspirants all over the country who are moving further from the recruitment age limit.?
Now, Army aspirants from around the country have gathered in Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to protest against this suspension.?
One of them is?Suresh Bhichar from Rajasthan. He is not only making sure to be a part of this protest but to make a mark, he ran 350 km from Rajasthan's Sikar to New Delhi to show his angst against the delay in recruitment.
According to ANI, the 24-year-old youth hails from?Rajasthan Nagaur district. He ran for 50 hours to protest at Jantar Mantar.?
He said,?"I am 24 years old. I have come from Nagaur district (Rajasthan). I have a passion to join the Indian Army which has not been recruiting for 2 years. The youth of Nagaur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu are getting old. I have come to Delhi by running to increase the enthusiasm of youth."

Further, he told ANI,?¡°I used to start the run at 4 in the morning and stopped only after reaching a petrol pump by 11 am, where I rested and received food from the army aspirants in the nearby areas." He added that he is running to generate passion among youth to join the forces.?
He added that even though his passion was to join the Indian Army, he is preparing to join?the Territorial Army (TA).?The youth went on to reveal that his parents are meeting his education expenses by selling their livestock.
He spoke to an NDTV correspondent and he said how he has taken part in three different protests?against the delay in recruitment.?He even said that over 1.5 lakh youths have missed the opportunity to join the forces due to the suspension of recruitment.?
The recruitment was suspended while the retirement of soldiers did take place during the period. This is especially a difficult situation keeping in mind China¡¯s aggression on the border including a faceoff with the Chinese army in Eastern Ladakh. More than that, there has been tension going on with Pakistan as well.
Recently, 19-year-old army aspirant Pradeep Mehra too made headlines by showing his dedication to joining the forces by running at midnight.?
