One such story is that of a farmer from Tamil Nadu.
Mohammad Swaifu, a 75-year-old farmer in the Ramanathapuram district, owns a piece of land known as Nanchai.?However, his Nanchai farm is in Kanchirangudi Melavalasai, on the road leading to the Ayyanar temple.
When harvest time rolls around, locals and tourists are asked to stay away from the temple. As a result, for several days, devotees have urged the landowner to build a road to the holy site.?
Locals can also follow the seashore from East Mutharaiyar Nagar to Kanchirangudi Pakkeerappa Dargah. The locals faced terrible hardship in impassable conditions due to the seawater¡¯s infiltration during the rainy season.?
The villagers are grateful to Mohammad Swaifu for giving the land for the temple and the public road.
Speaking to News18, Mohammad Swaifu voiced his delight at the constant stream of worshipers that comes through the temple. He said young Hindus, Muslims, and Christians should live together peacefully and not make any distinctions between the three religions.?
