Indian Air Force (IAF) transport aircraft C-17 carried 168 people from Kabul, Afghanistan and landed on Sunday morning at the Hindon airbase near Delhi as part of India's evacuation process.??
The aircraft carried some eminent Afghan leaders from Hindu and Sikh communities. As per officials, 107 Indians were brought back through the evacuation.
According to news agency ANI, a toddler was among the many who returned to India and travelled without a passport.?The toddler looked to be only a few months old.
"An infant has also landed in a special IAF flight to India without a passport," an evacuation coordinating official told ANI.
The news agency also shared a short clip and showed the child in his mother's arms. Another girl embraced the infant and planted kisses on the face out of sheer joy.
People on the internet were happy to see this video and sharing humanity is still alive.
"Situation was deteriorating in Afghanistan, so I came here with my daughter and two grandchildren. Our Indian brothers and sisters came to our rescue. They (Taliban) burnt down my house. I thank India for helping us," one of the evacuees told news agency ANI.?
Two more flights carrying evacuees from Kabul, including a special Air India flight carrying 87 Indians and two Nepalese citizens, landed on Saturday.
