Marriage is one of the most important events in one's life. Especially, for Indians, we believe in grand marriage traditions and having as many guests as possible.?
However, in light of the deadly second wave of Covid-19, many states have imposed a cap on the number of guests at weddings and even imposed restrictions on it until things get better. These restrictions made many couples who were scheduled to get married during this period, cut short their list of guests and get hitched in an intimate ceremony.
But A couple from Tamil Nadu's Madurai found a unique idea to get hitched with all their loved ones present in their marriage. They booked a whole SpiceJet flight from Madurai-Bangalore and tied the knot exactly when their aircraft hovered over the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple. They invited over 161 guests to witness this event and obviously, no social distancing was followed.?

A video of the same has gone viral where the couple (Rakesh and Dakshina) can be seen in proper wedding clothes and are surrounded by hundreds of guests on the plane. In the video, the groom ties a mangalsutra around the bride¡¯s neck as the relatives present during the ceremony cheer and shower them with flower petals.
?Even though it was a very different idea, people on Twitter didn't seem to like that this couple didn't follow Covid-19 norms.?
