We've all been there, whether at a park, at a dinner party or simply after a long day at work.?
You're all set to open a bottle of wine when you realise you've misplaced, broken or just don't have a corkscrew. You'll be relieved to know that there is a solution, as one woman has blown people's minds by sharing how to open a bottle without a bottle opener.?
All you'll need is two standard silverware pieces and a lot of imagination.
The woman used TikTok to show her thousands of followers how to open a wine bottle without a bottle opener."I need everyone to look at this trick I just learned on TikTok," she explained.?
The TikToker provided a step-by-step explanation in the video, saying, "I didn't have a wine opener and I learned on TikTok that if you stab the cork with a knife and use a fork to turn it around, it will open the wine bottle."?
?"Look how simple it is. This is the nicest thing that has ever happened. It certainly is. THANK YOU TIKTOK!" the maestro captioned the post.
"Open a wine bottle without the bottle opener with fork and knife. I don¡¯t even use google anymore, I love it here," she said.
The vino hack has since gone viral, with over 2.7 million views on TikTok and a flood of comments from people eager to voice their thoughts on the finding.?
1. Don't use too much force: Using too much force when inserting or extracting the corkscrew can shatter the cork or harm the bottle.?
2. Shake the bottle gently before opening: Shaking the bottle aggressively before opening can cause the wine to squirt out when uncorked.?
3. Don't use inappropriate instruments: When opening a wine bottle, avoid using inappropriate tools such as knives or other sharp things. This is risky and may result in an accident.?
4. Remove the full foil: Before opening the bottle, do not remove the entire foil or capsule. Remove only the top section to expose the cork.
5. Don't twist the cork: After inserting the corkscrew, avoid twisting the cork instead of pulling it out. Twisting the cork can cause it to crack or crumble into the wine.?
Store the opened bottle horizontally: After opening, avoid storing the bottle upright for a lengthy amount of time. This may result in early oxidation. Instead, store the wine horizontally or with a wine stopper to keep it fresh.?
