Wang Xiaofei, the ex-husband of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, is getting married to his partner Mandy Ma, eighteen years his junior, next month. They registered their marriage last year and are now hosting a private wedding ceremony at a hotel in Beijing, China, with Wang's two children from his previous marriage in attendance. The wedding is reportedly set to be an opulent affair, edging past his first wedding to the Meteor Garden star. The development has sparked shock, as just two months ago, Wang was seen crying over his late wife's death in public.
According to a Kbizooom report (via Suho), Wang Xiaofei is set to marry Mandy Ma, also known as Hot Girl Mandy, in a lavish ceremony in Beijing, China, on May 17. The intimate wedding, taking place at a picturesque hotel styled like a traditional courtyard house, promises to be a fairytale come true. As the couple exchange vows, they'll be surrounded by opulent details that will reportedly be grander than Wang's first wedding to Barbie Hsu.
To make a dramatic entrance for his second wedding, Wang plans to arrive at the ceremony by helicopter. The wedding will be a highly publicised affair, with a team of 200 photographers and videographers capturing every moment to live stream on social media.
The report added that Mandy's wedding dress is a stunning masterpiece adorned with 999 sparkling diamonds, paired with a breathtaking 10-metre-long veil.
Additionally, the culinary experience will be just as impressive, with a banquet featuring the finest ingredients sourced from around the world, including fresh seafood flown in directly from Antarctica.
Wang Xiaofei's upcoming wedding to Mandy Ma has sparked controversy, with some accusing him of hypocrisy. Many accuse him of moving on with his life after allegedly igniting a social media storm where he pretended to be mentally distraught by his ex-wife's passing. However, some have also come to his defence, alleging he is entitled to his own happiness.
Barbie Hsu, known for her iconic roles in dramas like Meteor Garden, Mars, and Summer's Desire, passed away at 49 in February in Japan due to pneumonia complications. She was married to Wang from 2011 until their divorce in 2021, citing irreconcilable differences.
Following their split, Hsu surprisingly reconnected with her former flame, South Korean musician DJ Koo, and married him in February 2022.
