It is said that dogs are man¡¯s best friends and this senior dog proved it right.?Ramesh Sancheti, a 65-year-old doctor who resides in Pune might have died if Brownie, his dog, wouldn¡¯t have alerted his neighbour, Amit Shah.
Sancheti suffered a partial paralytic attack on January 23 followed by a minor cardiac arrest. The incident happened at around 12:30 PM when Shah came to give food to Brownie but she refused to have her lunch.

When Brownie kept walking to Sancheti¡¯s (her owner) room window, Shah realised that something was fishy. He bent and saw through a gap in the bedroom window and realised Sancheti had collapsed. Shah then broke the door and rushed Sancheti to the hospital.
"She kept raising up with difficulty and placing her front legs on the window, looking inside. Initially, I was quite confused, but when I went nearer, a gap in the window revealed to me that the doctor had collapsed on the floor," Shah told Pune Mirror.
At the time of the incident, Sancheti was alone - his wife was in Mumbai, son in Bavdhan, near Pune and daughter in the US.

Brownie was adopted by Sancheti and Shah 16 years ago when she was a little puppy. Two years ago, Sancheti and his family she suffered a 50% kidney failure and the family nursed her back to health, Shah told the daily.
Elderly dogs, much like elderly people are often neglected and put in unkempt animal shelters - they are considered a burden on the family. But, love and good deeds have a way of coming back to you. What this doctor did for Brownie was only human, and she returned the favour by saving his life when no one was around.
