Well, it seems Carlo Ancelotti is very much impressed by Mbappe's performance, as he compares the 26-year-old French footballer to Cristiano Ronaldo in a recent press conference.
According to Ancelotti, Kylian Mbappe can reach Cristiano Ronaldo's heights at Real Madrid and 'has the possibility' to match the Portuguese icon's legacy at Los Blancos after Mbappe equalled Ronaldo's goal tally in his debut season at the club.?
In a press conference on Monday, upon being asked if Mbappe could go on to become the best player in history, Ancelotti said, "It's difficult to compare different players."
The 40-year-old Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been a part of Real Madrid's legacy and will always be remembered as one of the great icons throughout his club's history. But it seems someone is on an equal par with him.?
Additionally, Ancelotti believes that Mbapp¨¦ can achieve what Cristiano Ronaldo achieved. "What I can hope for is that Mbapp¨¦ can achieve what Cristiano Ronaldo achieved at Real Madrid. I think he has the possibility to do it. If he does that, he'll be a legend at Real Madrid like Cristiano Ronaldo is," he said in the press conference.?
If we look at the stats, Kylian Mbappe signed with Madrid last year in 2024 and secured 33 goals this summer, and this has helped him come close to the mark of Cristiano Ronaldo's tally during his debut campaign in Spanish football in 2009/10.?
