Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, has made headlines recently for securing admission to the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad. Navya Naveli Nanda has enrolled in the IIM Ahmedabad's BPGP MBA program, set to span two years.?
The Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) at IIM Ahmedabad is an online MBA tailored for entrepreneurs and professionals who want to advance their education while continuing to work.

A Redditor, who claims to be a 'CAT 2023 96 Percentiler repeating and prepping for 2025,' pointed out that the?BPGP programme, for which?Navya Naveli Nanda secured admission to IIM Ahmedabad, is not the institute's flagship MBA programme.
They noted, "It's for their BPGP programme, not the flagship MBA, the flagship batch starts in June while BPGP starts in sept. It's a blended course with just a few weeks of learnings on campus, Rest is all online."
Navya Naveli Nanda is Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's granddaughter.
The Redditor also mentioned that their comment was quickly blocked, alleging, "These star kids stopped low with their PR but this one seems to have beaten all of them by getting this IIM A tag through probably one of their least valuable courses."
They also add, "It's outrageous to see something so valuable and prestigious being used for mere PR efforts!"
Another commenter supported this, claiming, "I went there and commented the same after coming to know it from here. AND I'M NOT LYING SHE BLOCKED ME TOO!!. Shady person."
However, others pointed out that even the BPGP requires a good CAT score and an interview, though it has lower percentile requirements due to its work experience criteria.
Additionally, Navya has addressed claims that her admission was due to her influence and that she's not pursuing the 2-year MBA program. She clarified, sending Instagram DMs to people who commented about it, that she is enrolled in the Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP), with details available online.??

One person argued, "I don't understand the hate that she is receiving for this. IIM-A has a course that it offers and she enrolled for it. No where has she claimed that she enrolled for their MBA or she scored 100 percentile in CAT to get admission in IIM A?"
What are your thoughts? Are these criticisms of Navya's IIM Ahmedabad admission justified?
