A George Floyd protester is suing police after her nose was severed from her face after reportedlybeing shot by police in the face while attending a Black Lives Matter protest.
According to 1011now report,?Elise Poole was struck in the face with what the lawsuit says was a rubber bullet at close range causing her nose to ripped off.
Poole says she was working to assist other protestors who she thought were injured when she was struck.
Poole¡¯s filing includes horrific photos of her blood-soaked nose, and a photograph of half her face bandaged and packed with gauze after she was treated for her injury.?
A?Metro Uk?report?quoted her lawsuit as reading. ¡®The traumatic injury required emergency reconstructive surgery.¡¯ ACLU lawyers added that Poole and her friends ¡®were gathered in peaceful protest and not posing any safety threat.¡¯

In the legal challenge, it's argued 'an impact munition' severed Elise's 'nose from her face'.?The traumatic injury caused Ms Poole to attend a nearby hospital for 'emergency reconstructive surgery'.
The ACLU will say in court that the 'officers' indiscriminate and excessive force violated the constitutional rights of Poole and others who were gathered in peaceful protest and not posing any safety threat'.
Poole says she was marching with a group by 12th and H Streets when the group was met with a line of law enforcement officers in riot gear.?
¡°The police were pushing us back, we just kept moving,¡± said Poole. ¡°At that point, I thought I saw someone who was hurt and I wanted to go help him, and as I was walking that was when I got shot.¡±

Adam Sipple, from the ACLU¡¯s Nebraska Legal Division, told WOWT,?¡®Officers traumatized Elise and every other peaceful protester at that scene in an outrageous violation of their rights. ¡®It was never justified, and it was never acceptable. We brought this lawsuit because we share Elise¡¯s conviction that we need to make sure this never happens again.
The latest evidence in the killing of George Floyd has revealed that?he couldn't breathe more than 20 times, called out for his children and late mother and said officers would "kill" him before he died in Minneapolis police custody.
Floyd, a Black man, died on May 25 when a white police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes. His death has led to massive protests against systemic?racism?and police brutality in the United States and inspired demonstrations across the world.
