So, while some fitness enthusiasts have celebrated the move claiming saying that the Portuguese footballer is encouraging healthy living, others have dug out an old advert of Ronaldo endorsing Coca Cola in the past.
His press conference stunt did not sit well with netizens who have called out the captain of the Portugal football team for 'hypocrisy' and took to the microblogging website Twitter to express their disappointment.
Without giving it a second thought, the Portuguese footballer picked up two bottles of Coca-Cola placed in front of him at a press conference and switched them with a bottle of water. In the viral video of the press conference, he appeared to be muttering the beverage company's name that lost $4 billion worth of shares in the market.
