US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, showed off his dance moves to the popular Hindi song "Tauba, Tauba" during the vibrant Diwali celebrations at the Embassy in Delhi.?
Dressed in a stylish brown kurta with a red scarf, Garcetti embodied the festive spirit.?
The Embassy was beautifully adorned with colourful posters in shades of blue, pink, purple, and yellow, with "Happy Diwali" messages.
Earlier that day, Garcetti expressed his admiration for the Diwali celebrations at the White House, where President Joe Biden hosted over 600 distinguished Indian Americans.?
During the event, Biden highlighted the significant contributions of South Asian Americans, stating, "As President, I have been honoured to host the biggest Diwali receptions ever at the White House."
He emphasised the importance of Indian Americans in his administration throughout his career: "To me, it means a great deal. As Senator, Vice President, and President; South Asian Americans have been key members of my staff."
Garcetti echoed these sentiments, taking to X to post, "What a beautiful celebration of Diwali at the @WhiteHouse!?As we celebrate the journey of light, we also honor the invaluable contributions of Indian Americans who deepen the #USIndia?bond.
