No, you aren't dreaming! Ferrari, at long last, has unveiled its first sport utility vehicle (SUV). Having made its debut on Tuesday, the Purosangue is the iconic sports car maker's first four-door, four-seat SUV.? ?
The Ferrari Purosangue features unique active suspension, rear-opening ¡®welcome¡¯ doors, and is powered by a familiar 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 715bhp.?
As you would expect, the car with rad design and big power looks nothing short of a proper Ferrari. The Purosangue is as special on the inside as it is on the outside.?
As far as exterior styling is concerned, the Purosangue features a low-slung bonnet and slim C-shaped all-LED headlamps, which are reminiscent of the SF90 Stradale sports car. At the rear, the SUV will sport slim LED taillamps with a full-width connecting LED lightbar, and quad exhaust tips.
The company said that it designed the chassis for the Purosangue from scratch. The choice helped keep weight down versus adapting from another car. Ferrari says the chassis is lighter than that of its old 2+2 cars. It also made the rear-hinged back doors possible.?
The Purosangue uses a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 making 715 horsepower and 528 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Ferrari estimates a 0-to-62-mph time of 3.3 seconds and the SUV's top speed crests at 308 kph.?
The SUV, as you would expect, comes with plenty of safety features like driver assistance (ADAS) features as standard, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Brake System (AEB), Auto High Beam (HBA/HBAM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Driver Drowsiness and Attention (DDA), and rear-view parking camera (NSW).
The deliveries of Ferrari Purosangue will commence in Europe by the second quarter of 2023. However, there are no official announcements on when the car will hit the Indian shores,?
Now coming to the price of the car, one can expect Ferrari Purosangue to be priced somewhere north of Rs 6 crore, considering the brand name and the exclusive units of the V12-powered car.??
