Maggie was found in Lebanon with 17 bullet wounds, her eyes shot out, her ear cut off and a broken jaw.?The 5-year-old pooch was also pregnant when she was discovered abandoned and tied to a box.
But. (Thank god for a BUT in this story)?
Late last year, Maggie was rescued by an animal charity called Wild At Heart Foundation.?After hearing Maggie¡¯s horrific story, Kasey from Brighton, decided to adopt the abandoned and hurt dog, and offer it a better life. However, there was one obstacle - the safe arrival of Maggie from Lebanon to the United Kingdom. This was successfully accomplished, thanks to an online campaign that required the support of millions of people from across the world. Eventually, Maggie entered her new home and now has a family in Sussex, United Kingdom.?
Maggie commonly known as the Wunder Dog on the Internet has managed to amass 99k followers on Instagram and has a career of?visiting hospitals, care homes, and universities on a mission to spread a positive message.?
?
Now maggie is not just any dog. She has now officially become a therapy dog. In order to become a therapy dog, Maggie underwent plenty of tests and examinations. Kasey, Maggie's owner, took to Instagram to celebrate the news of Maggie passing her exams with flying colors.?
Kasey wrote, 'Yesterday me and Maggie went to meet with her assessor, @maherandhounddogtraining she flaunted her stuff and gave it her best go and she PASSED'.
'Maggie is now a registered therapy dog with @underdog_international'.
It's beautiful and heartwarming to see how Maggie will work towards spreading love and positivity. A dog who has survived such inhumane torture continues to spread happiness in the life of so many people, is nothing short of brilliant. We humans have a lot to learn especially from animals like Maggie.?
