Mumbai local trains are known for being overcrowded, most of the time if not all. And there is enough proof on the internet about the same. Jumping on the same is also Mumbai metro now.?
Remember three years ago when a video showing a man trying to squeeze himself into a metro made the rounds online? Are you wondering why are we talking about it now? Well, the video is viral again and social media users are having a ball. Watch the video here, if you didn't see it earlier.
The video was posted on Twitter by user Gina Kholkar. In it a man can be seen trying to get himself inside a Mumbai metro even though there is no space on the train. The user wrote with the video, "Marol...3 years back," indicating that the video was filmed three years ago.?
The video was filmed at Marol Naka Metro Station in Mumbai. The passenger in the video can be seen standing in front of the metro gate, but he doesn't just stand, he tries to push himself inside the metro even when the metro is jam-packed with people standing at the gate. So much so, if anyone moves people will be forced out the gate.?
But, the man doesn't give up. First, he tries to push his back and tries hard to make space in the metro. When that doesn't work, the man tries to tackle the problem head-on, quite literally. He starts pushing himself onto the train head first. Towards the end of the video, you can see that the metro gate starts closing. Only he would know how to breathe in that situation, but at least he got in. Talk about getting late to work.?
The video is going viral again, and ever since it was posted on Monday, the video has raked in more than 344k views already and a host of likes and comments. A user shared a similar animation video of a rat trying to get out of a metro. The resemblance between both videos is uncanny.?
A user ask people to make fun of this video and wrote, "Stop making fun of people This is Mumbaikars routine." While another user added, "So that's why people in Bombay work their a** off."?
"The second hand anxiety i got watching this," added another user. "He he of course Bombay locals are way more crowded but I have done the exact same action (pre covid times) in NYC subway," wrote another user.??
