There are a lot of scams going on around in many cities. There was a Bumble scam going around where a person takes you out on a date and makes you pay a hefty amount. Others are tricked in cab fare scams. A Reddit user fell prey to an auto-rickshaw scam. Here¡¯s what happened with the man when he first visited Delhi.?

The Reddit user shared in a post about a time when he visited Delhi for the first time. Being out late at night with the phone battery about to die, the man decided to take an auto-rickshaw without booking?it?online.
"The battery of my phone was at 5% so I couldn't risk booking an Ola or Uber. It was getting pretty late at night, so I decided to take a cab but was then approached by an auto wala uncle who I had earlier seen squatted near his vehicle chatting with some folks. So instead took the Auto from the station to go to my friend's place near Suraj Vihar," the man wrote in the Reddit post.?
The auto driver was good at chatting and kept pulling up past stories for the man to keep him busy talking the whole time on the way. "It felt like he was really interested in getting to know me. Through all the questions asked, he nicely learned that I was new to the city, had no clue about the route to take to reach the destination and that my phone was close to dead," the man added.?
After almost an hour of driving the man reached the location and the meter showed a bill of Rs 1360. But that's not where he got scammed, although it is a very high amount for an auto driver. The man further writes, "I take out three 500 rupee notes from my wallet and I hand it to him and he asked me for 60 rs change. I look back at my wallet for a split second to get the change and then the uncle told me that I only gave him 3 hundred rupee notes and asked for another 1000 rs. I was shocked and looked back at my wallet (I didn't know how much cash I was carrying so it didn't help counting). I was too sleepy at that point that I myself wasn't sure if I gave him 500 or 100 rupee notes and the blue light he had switched on only made things worse. Handed over another two 500 rs notes to him along with the change which he happily took."?
People on the internet sided with the man and felt sad for the first-time visitor. Here's how people reacted.?
