There is a famous Indian saying: Baap baap hota hai. No matter who you are, your father will always be the boss. A son in Madhya Pradesh found out just that after he pissed off his father.?
After a domestic feud between parents and their son, with regard to property, an angry father did something rather unusual - he willed a portion of his ancestral land to his pet dog.
Nope.?No one saw that coming.?
According to News18, Om Narayan Verma, a farmer by profession, named his beloved dog Jackie as the one who will inherit two-acre land, according to the will he prepared recently.?
Verma, who hails from village Baribada in Chhindwara district of MP, didn't take too kindly the behaviour of his son. It upset him so much, that he named his dog as the heir of his property and left his son out of it.
According to this will, a portion of the land registered in the?farmer¡¯s name will go to his wife Champa. The farmer is very serious about ensuring that the dog becomes his legal heir and has recorded his will on an affidavit.?
Verma, 50, has also mentioned that after his demise, anyone who takes care of his 11-month-old dog of desi breed, would inherit the portion of land offered by it.??
However, Verma, soon had a change of heart and had to later backtrack when the local sarpanch spoke to him and persuaded him to consider the will nullified. Verma later told the media that he had made the will after his son left him angry and he was now considering to nullify the will.
An online publication quoted the village head,?Sarpanch Jamuna Prasad Verma, as saying?that he has spoken to Verma who promised him to get the will cancelled, much to the relief of his son.
Moral of the story - never ever mess with your father.?
