On January 22, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra will consecrate the?Ram Lalla idol sculpted by the esteemed artist Arun Yogiraj from Karnataka at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Arun Yogiraj was recently bestowed with a special gift from a renowned sweet shop in Mysuru.
As the eagerly anticipated inauguration of the Ram temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22 approaches, the Ram Lalla idol has already been installed inside the sanctum sanctorum as part of the pre-consecration rituals.
In anticipation of this significant event, the well-known Shree Mahalakshmi Sweets in Mysuru presented Arun Yogiraj and his family with a replica of the Ram Mandir crafted from a variety of sweets.
On January 2, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa revealed in a social media post that Arun Yogiraj's sculpture of Lord Rama had been chosen for placement in the Rama Mandir in Ayodhya.?
Yediyurappa expressed his joy, stating that the selection of Yogiraj's idol had significantly heightened the pride and happiness of Rama devotees throughout the state. In his congratulatory message, Yediyurappa extended heartfelt wishes to the sculptor.
In an interview with the news agency PTI earlier this month, Arun Yogiraj discussed the difficulties encountered in crafting the Ram Lalla idol.
"Considering the divine element and incorporating a child-like visage, I commenced this project approximately six to seven months ago. I am now profoundly content. My satisfaction lies not just in the selection but in the broader appreciation of people. That is what truly brings me joy," shared Arun Yogiraj.
Apart from the Ram?Lalla idol, Yogiraj has also crafted the sculptures of Adi Shankaracharya, situated in Kedarnath, and Subhash Chandra Bose, installed near India Gate in Delhi.
