Following her rejection, one candidate began sending love poetry. The Noida-based HR expert described these messages as a sampling of what she receives from candidates. She stated that abusive comments and nocturnal calls have become typical for her.? ??
¡°As an HR professional, I've observed a disturbing trend:- Candidates who don't get selected, start to disregard their boundaries. Inappropriate nighttime texts and calls have become a regular occurrence,¡± Mishra wrote on LinkedIn.
¡°I've shared screenshots to illustrate the severity of this issue, without hiding numbers, as this needs to be exposed. I'm committed to maintaining a respectful and calm demeanour, even in the face of inappropriate behaviour. Don't mistake this for my weakness,¡± she added.?
A user shared, "OMG! These messages sound soo disturbing. I hope your organization is helping you in taking desired action against such people. This shows that mere educational qualification is not a bar to judge a candidate's moral values. I've myself experienced a similar scenario when a guy holding a senior position in a firm literally asked me "what all I can do to be successful?" I was stupid not to realise that I should've raised my voice against him. I just stopped talking to him at all. As it was my first job, I didn't know how to react in a situation like this. But now, when I think about it, I feel disgusted. A safer workplace still seems like a dream for women!"
