For the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony will commence on the Seine River rather than in a stadium. The boat will transport more than 200 athletes along the river and into the city.

The Paris Olympics' opening ceremony will begin with boats transporting participants from the Pont d'Austerlitz bridge. The boats will go six km across the Seine before arriving at the Pont d'Lena, near the Eiffel Tower.?
The opening ceremony will be held in Champions Park, a temporary stadium built in front of the Trocadero, near the Eiffel Tower.?

The details of the acts at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony are yet to be published. Over 3,000 artists are anticipated to participate.
Aside from Champions Park, 3,26,000 tickets have been made available to observe the boats, and temporary stands have been constructed.?
In addition, 2,22,000 complimentary tickets will be handed to spectators on the upper banks to view the event.?
The rest are for the lower quays, with prices ranging from 90 to 2,700 euros. Additionally, enormous screens have been installed throughout the city.
