In the age of the internet, frauds have grown commonplace and must be avoided. From online banking scams to individuals sending false letters to deceive people for their own advantage, seemingly minor frauds can sometimes cause more harm than imagined. People can generally ignore such things because they are so evident. One such clear scam occurred recently with X user Kailash Meghwal, who received a message from someone claiming to be Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud.
Meghwal shared a screenshot of the text he received from a person claiming to be CJI DY Chandrachud. In the communication, the scammer identified themselves as the CJI and stated that they had an urgent collegium meeting.
He stated that he was stuck in Delhi's Connaught Place and required ?500 for a cab. They also promised to reimburse the money once they reached the court.
To make the message appear authentic, the scammer added "Sent from iPad" at the end.?
