We are all well aware of a tortoise's speed. Imagine, how long it takes for a huge desert tortoise to reach the other side of a Southern Arizona highway. After assisting in the rescue of an escaped Sulcata tortoise attempting to cross Interstate 10 near Picacho, the situation remains unknown.
On July 30, a motorist contacted authorities to report a tortoise attempting to cross the busy roadway that runs halfway between Casa Grande and Tucson in Pinal County. The motorist and DPS Sgt. Steven Sekrecki were able to pull the tortoise off the road unhurt.
Troopers noticed the name "Stitch" written across the tortoise's shell and contacted an ostrich ranch 3 miles away. According to the Arizona Republic, the ranch confirmed that Stitch was one of their resident tortoises who had lately left his enclosure. The publication reported that Stitch was then securely restored to the property.?
In a similar light, last year a dog snuck into a concert. The band Metallica had a surprising four-legged guest at a concert in California. Storm, a dog, observed the entire show from the stands while the renowned band performed at SoFi Stadium.?
The band resorted to social media to announce that a dog escaped from its house near the stadium and somehow made its way into one of the two scheduled "M72 World Tour" gigs.
