In 2013, Kambli suffered a heart attack while driving in Mumbai, which was a real scare for the cricketer and his fans. A year earlier, in 2012, he had undergone an angioplasty to treat blockages in two of his arteries. These medical issues have certainly affected Kambli's overall health, making public appearances like the recent one particularly alarming for his supporters.
In a 51-second video shared by Pune Times Mirror on X (formerly Twitter), Kambli can be seen trying to steady himself by leaning on a motorcycle. A person recording the video can be heard exclaiming, "Kambli hai bhai. Maa kasam, Kambli hai (He is Kambli bro! I swear on my mom he is Kambli)." Shortly afterward, several passersby noticed his condition and helped him to safety. The video, which has been shared widely, was originally posted by a user named Narendra Gupta.

From the time it got release on August 5, the video has been viewed more than 300,000 times, with many expressing shock and sadness at Kambli's current condition. One user commented, "Sad to see such a talented former Indian cricketer in this condition. Wish him good health and happiness." Another urged the cricket community to support him, saying, "The cricket fraternity needs to do something for him¡I hope his friends are rallying behind him¡heartbreaking to see him like this¡"
