Ukrainian cities are being bombed and invaded by Russian soldiers, and the country's citizens are either seeking shelter underground or at metro stations or fleeing from their homes.
Amidst all this turmoil, a video of a Ukrainian woman holding back tears as she sings the national anthem while cleaning rubble out of her bomb-stricken home has surfaced on the internet.
The woman in the video, Oksana Gulenko, was reportedly among the 33 civilian sites that were bombed by Russian soldiers as part of their agenda to take over their neighbouring country. Despite Moscow saying it would only strike military targets, Ukrainian citizens are on the receiving end of this assault led by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The video was filmed from inside Gulenko's devastated home, and she was seen calmly cleaning up the debris caused by the Russian bombs. She was singing her country's national anthem softly -?in English - 'Glory and Freedom of Ukraine Has not yet Perished'.
According to a report by Mail Online, most of the residents of the apartment block Gulenko lives in are families of former Soviet army servicemen and border guards. Her father, like most of his neighbours, served in Afghanistan in the 1980s and was provided with the apartment by the military authorities in recognition of his service.?
"I was sleeping, there was a sharp explosion and I was thrown 3 meters from the bedroom into the corridor. I was scared, I started crawling on the floor,' said Oksana, who is a medic in a military hospital in Kyiv.?
Her daughter, Katya, started a patisserie a few years ago, and today was a big day for her. The supplies for the party prepared by the mother-daughter duo were covered in debris and shards of glass.?
The heartbreaking video also shows the outside of her apartment, and the street below is too covered in rubble and debris from the bombing. Most of the building's windows have been blown out, and most doorways and balconies have collapsed.?
Our prayers lie with the people of Ukraine.?
