Amid all this, a video of a municipal worker doing her job and raking leaves from the middle of the road to the side has surfaced on social media.?

The short clip was shared by Twitter user?@SattarFarooqui on the microblogging website with the caption, "Respect for these Municipal workers.. Such times make me realise how privileged I am."

The five-second-long video shows the municipal worker cleaning the roads while it is raining with nothing to protect herself from getting wet except a plastic bag on her head. This also calls for the fact that the BMC should provide their workers with proper equipment during a time like this when they need to be protected the most.

The video has been viewed more than 78,000 times and the numbers are increasing by the minute. It also has almost 1,500 likes. People took to the comments section to express their thoughts on the clip. One user wrote, "So true. They are truly the unsung heroes of my city #Respect @mybmc."
