BTS' Jin and Wendy of Red Velvet recently collaborated on a new song, Heart on the Window. The track, part of Jin's maiden solo album, HAPPY, was released on November 15 and instantly became a hit among K-pop fans. After the overwhelming reception of their first collaboration, Jin and Wendy performed the melodious song for the first time at the live special stage event.
With their powerful combined vocals and enchanting visuals, it was expected that Jin and Wendy's performance would go viral - but in a hilarious twist, the duo has grabbed eyeballs for a different reason altogether. It's the stage arrangement that has now sparked a hilarious meme fest online, with netizens taking hilarious digs at the duo for maintaining a wide distance between them.
Reacting to the cautious space shared by the duo, one fan wrote, "Wendy & Jin left a space so far to fit the 12 of bts & red velvet."
?Another user further pointed at the distance shared between Wendy and Jin, and compared it to Jin and Chris Martin's performance.
?A third fan wrote, "Congratulations wendy for being the first female and kpop idol besides bts to be featured in jin¡¯s instagram feed."
?"Pls inform Jin and Wendy that the pandemic is over. social distancing. Hahaha!" another fan hilariously wrote.
One fan added, "Oh Jin Well done Wendy, getting our wwh flustered, refusing eye contact and making him start rapping not to mention the red ears and the 100m distance."
Aside from maintaining a 100m distance and serenading their fans with their latest track, Jin and Wendy also shared a heartfelt exchange on the stage. When Jin said, "If there is anything you need my help with in future, I¡¯ll come at any time to help you out," Wendy cheekily replied, "Because you¡¯re a sunbaenim (senior) with lots of shyness, I¡¯ll be the one to reach out to you first."
Earlier, the BTS member had revealed he had dialled the Red Velvet star on a random day, asking, "Do you know Jin from BTS?" before proposing her an offer for a duet for his new album HAPPY.
