Aakash Institute was enmeshed in controversy earlier this year when a viral notice claimed that the group was planning a "Valentine's Day Party."?The management of the institute asserted that it did not know about any such incident. Here's what went on.
The planning committee of Akash Institute is said to have organised the?Valentine's Day party, the notice claimed.
"It is mandatory for all students to secure a date by February 14th, in consideration of our deserving candidates' personal growth."?
It went on to describe how the "activity" would boost the students' self-esteem and prepare them for success in the real world.?The notice asked students, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion, or sexual orientation, to find a date for themselves and support one another in doing so.?
Since there was no mention of a date, the Branch Head's name, or a signature, the notice could very well have been the work of a student practical joke.?The company Aakash Educational Services Limited vehemently denied ever having made such a declaration.??
