Update: The Zomato delivery guy arrested in case related to assaulting a woman over delayed food delivery order, has refuted claims made by her.?
The accused told the police that he was delayed because there was a long queue at the restaurant. When he reached her house, Kamraj said that Chandranee refused to pay him the money and continued to talk to the Zomato¡¯s customer care executive to waive off the charges. When he asked for money, Kamraj said the verbal fight began and escalated.?
Kamraj told Hindustan Times that fearing he would have to pay money for the food, he asked her for money.?
¡°Since the order was cancelled, I was asked to pick up the food to return. When I was asked for the parcel back, she refused. As I insisted and took the food back, she began cursing in foul language and threw her sandals at me,¡± he alleged.
¡°As she was hitting me, I tried to block using my hands. When she tried to push my hand away, a ring on her finger hit her nose,¡± Kamraj said further.??

In a shocking incident, a woman in Bengaluru was allegedly assaulted by a Zomato delivery executive on March 9 after an argument over a delayed food delivery order.
Hitesha Chandranee, content creator and make-up artist, shared the horrific ordeal on her Instagram in which she can clearly be seen bleeding and later having the injury patched up.?

In the video, Hitesha says that she placed an order at 3.30 pm on March 9, which was supposed to be delivered by 4.30 pm, but since it did not arrive on time, she took up the matter with Zomato¡¯s customer support, and asked them?if they would give her the food for free or if they would cancel the order.
When the delivery executive showed up at the door with the order, she asked him to wait as she was speaking to a customer care representative, which is when she says he started abusing her.?
The influencer says that the Zomato delivery boy started screaming at her and asked her if he was her "slave". "I got scared and tried shutting my door. He pushed the door and he snatched the order from my table -- he entered my house and he punched my on my face so that I don't get back to him and he ran away," she says in the video.??
She added that people in her complex are not very forthcoming when it comes to help in such matters.??
In one of the clips, she can be seen lying in what appears to be a bed in a hospital. She says that her nose is broken and that the doctors have advised her to undergo a surgery.? ?

Meanwhile, Zomato has responded to the incident on Twitter. Replying to the Tweet posted by Hitesha Chandranee, the food delivery company has said that "this is not the experience our delivery universe stands for" and that it will comply with the police investigation.
The police is said to be investigating the matter and it is not known whether the delivery executive has been arrested. There has also been no communication yet from Zomato as to what action they will take against the offender.??
