Optical illusions and brain teasers are getting pretty popular nowadays. People like the idea of exercising their minds to figure out what a new optical illusion means.?
Now, a new brain teaser is making people scratch their heads. The task at hand? Count the number of triangles in the image. It's not that easy, take it from us.?
The simple puzzle, which was posted on the Facebook page The Doctor ASKY, has people in a spin.?
People can't agree on a particular answer. Those attempting to solve the puzzle have been given a wide range of answers - while a few say there are four, some have even gone as far as to say 44.
But can you figure out the correct answer?
The solution is actually 25 ¨C there are 24 smaller triangles within the main triangle, as well as one in the signature.
There are six in the top row - three individual triangles, two pairs, and one comprising of all three.?
In the second row, there are six, the same number in the third row. There are six in the fourth row using the same approach.
There's also a triangle in the signature written underneath the question - in the ¡°A¡±.
Martin Silvertant, a mathematician, explained the answer through a chart.
"Triangle means having three sides with same angle. So theres only 4 triangle show in the pics," a user commented.?
Without a doubt, and counting every single triangle there is on the page as asked, there is a total of 26 triangles. How you might ask? 24 in the figure, one spelt out "triangle" and the last one is the A in the signature of Asky.?26 triangles total.?It's good to be literal sometimes," another user wrote.?
"There are 24 triangles. They're all so hard to keep track of I kept on getting lost and having to restart," another said.?
"There are 25, I'm pretty sure," another user added.?
