Many believe that 2020 is a curse that keeps on giving. Of course, the main reason for this is the ongoing pandemic that isn't giving up yet. Then there are the natural disasters like the cyclones and earthquakes that are low key making people lose their faith.
Take for example the tremors felt today in Gujarat, Assam and Himachal Pradesh. While, fortunately, no loss of life or property was reported, people have already sort of given up on 2020.

Three states felt earthquakes on July 16 morning - Gujarat, Assam and Himachal Pradesh.?
Reportedly in Gujarat, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Rajkot in the morning, with its epicentre at 16 km southeast of the city.?The quake struck at 7:40 am at a depth of 10 kilometres in the ground, said the National Centre for Seismology.?
Bhayasar, a village 16 km south-east of Rajkot city has been reported as the epicentre. The earthquake was felt as far away as Jasdan, a town 50 km east of Rajkot, and parts of neighbouring Amreli district.

This was the second earthquake to hit Rajkot in about a month. An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 with its epicentre in Kutch district was also felt in Rajkot on June 14.?
Assam too was hit by a mid intensity earthquake of magnitude 4.1. According to? National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre for the earthquake in Assam was? Karimganj district. It occurred at 7.57 am at a depth of 18 kilometres.

Himachal Pradesh too was hit by an earthquake on Thursday Morning. The earthquake measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale hit Una at 4:47 am, National Center for Seismology said.?
In the last 15 days, the hill state has seen two earthquakes. An earthquake of 3.2 magnitude jolted Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur on July 7.
