A man from Kolkata recently designed a somewhat odd application for the position of copywriter at the food delivery app Swiggy. Rohit Sethia created an 11-page pitch detailing funny reasons why he is the ideal candidate for the job. In his tweet, he also mentioned Devanshi Dhingra, Swiggy's associate manager.
"Hello, Swiggy! Dhingra, Devanshi. I saw your post on employing copywriters. Here are a few of the numerous reasons why you should think about hiring me! I'm looking forward to hearing from you!," he wrote on LinkedIn.?
"Copywriter craving Swiggy! Hello, Swiggy. I noticed your post on hiring copywriters. Interested in my abilities? See my deck."
He began his pitch by stating that he does not follow Zomato but subsequently added that he does so for competition purposes. He also defined himself as amusing and an aspiring stand-up comedian who follows all internet trends.
Since being shared, the unique job application has received over 2,300 likes and over 200 comments. LinkedIn users admired his imaginative ad and hoped he got the job. ''Dude!'' one person wrote.
"Just right. Swiggy snatches him before Zomato arrives.''''Hahaha, that's on another level. Swiggy, you're going to have a hard time rejecting this guy, not to mention the consequences,'' another person said.?
