We all love an occasional trip to the roadside street food stalls, but will you be willing to risk your health when you find out that some of the ingredients used in the food are not the most hygienically produced???
A video showing the making of chow mein noodles is going viral on social media. A Twitter user, Chirag Barjatya, shared with the internet a video that would absolutely stop them from ever ordering chow mein in the future. With the video, he wrote in his caption, ¡°When was the last time you had road side chinese hakka noodles with schezwan sauce?¡±
The viral video showed how the noodles were being made in a cramped space by men with minimal hygiene supervision. The workers made contact with the noodles, and gloves were the least you could worry about after seeing the video.?
Check out the video below:
The video garnered nearly 300K views on the platform as people shared their own responses to witnessing the video. One user wrote, "I¡¯m 100% certain the same hygienic conditions exist for all kitchens in #Delhi! If you truly know how your food (golgappas, kulchas, bhel puris and not limited to noodles shown here) is mass produced you would literally stop eating most of it! Ever know what the cows eat for milk?"??
While another penned his demand for getting the place shut down entirely: "The entire process could not be more unhygienic than this. If this factory can be located, this needs to be shut down."??
A commenter sarcastically wrote, ¡°World¡¯s most hygienic noodle making process. Noodles comes with tasty masala powder and diarrhea.¡±
One user questioned if the noddle was actually only used by roadside vendors and not high-end restaurants too: "How do you know it's used only roadside vendors and not by 5-star restaurants?"??
Others gave a lukewarm response to the video. One user noted that he used the noodles after boiling or frying them, which would automatically cleanse the germs: "Koi na .... We eat only after boiling and frying.. .... Nothing to worry."??
A commenter chimed in and added, ¡°Waise bhi these noodles are boiled & then stir fried in oil so I'm sure no organism or pathogen can survive so much heat. Have fun with chowmein & Chinese bhel.¡±
Another fellow joked about how the poster of the video should never share any videos of momos being made under such situations, ¡°Kasam hai hai tumko agar tumne kabhi momos ki manufacturing dikhayi."
