It's one thing to try new things for the sake of creativity, but recent bizarre food combinations have taken things to a whole new level. But do you think this vendor's gold and silver pain puri has pushed it too far?
The now-viral video shows a vendor preparing and plating pani puri on gold and silver platters to match. The clip opens with two food bloggers standing in front of a Shareat stall with gold and silver platters kept in front of them. The video also offers glimpses of the vendor preparing them. The vendor first chops dry fruit and drops it into the pani puri. He then pours honey into it, before finally covering the pain puri in gold and silver foil. Flavoured water is presented separately in a tiny container kept alongside the pani puri on the tray.
Going by the text on the video, one platter contains?six pieces of pani puri with dry fruits, honey and thandai-flavoured?pani in a "dazzling golden plate with gold and silver coating."

The viral post collected over 2.6 million views, 53,000 likes and comments to match. "Band baja diya paani puri ko," wrote one user. "Panipur delicious as a street food and Gold is for wearing, not for eating," wrote another. A third quipped, "Humein n khana ye sone chandi ki golgappe."
