Butter chicken is a popular Indian dish made with marinated chicken that is grilled or roasted, and then cooked in a creamy tomato-based sauce.??
Traditional butter chicken is not vegetarian as it is made with chicken and typically includes butter and cream. However, vegetarian versions of butter chicken have become increasingly popular in recent years, which use substitutes for chicken such as tofu, paneer (Indian cottage cheese), or even vegetables like cauliflower, potatoes or chickpeas. This, then obviously does not make the dish 'butter chicken' but oh well.?
However, a restaurant did something bizarre recently. Here's what everyone is talking about on Twitter.?
Nowadays, most people must resist their cravings for non-vegetarian food during Navratri and consume only vegetarian fare.?
Aneetta, a Twitter user, shared a screenshot of a restaurant that is serving "100% Veg Butter Chicken" in the midst of all of this. Yes! You read correctly. The caption said, "Find the error." This vegetarian butter chicken is one of the restaurant's listed dishes. Since being uploaded, the picture has received over 35K views.
The seller has also included a picture that appears to be chicken and cream.
A man wrote, "When you don¡¯t want to mention vegan but also want to play safe."
Another man wrote, "The chicken was certified vegetarian till it became part of your butter chicken, that is why "vegetarian butter chicken."
While this was going on, a Twitter user began the discussion about whether paneer or chicken was better by tweeting her opinion. Unpopular opinion: Paneer is superior to chicken, according to Tanya Bhardwaj.?
She also uploaded a picture of her meal. A few rotis, a cup of chai, some paneer, and some ketchup on the side made up the meal. Unknowingly, she probably started a food war in the end. Many people voiced their support for their preferred chicken, and some agreed with Tanya.
