Sudha Murty, the mother-in-law of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, has attributed her daughter Akshata Murty to his rapid and astounding rise to power in United Kingdom.?
In a video circulating online, Sudha Murthy stated that her daughter "catapulted her husband to the position of Prime Minister."?
"I made my husband a businessman. My daughter made her husband the Prime Minister of the UK. The reason is the glory of the wife. See how a wife can change a husband. But I could not change my husband. I made my husband a businessman, and my daughter made her husband a Prime Minister," Sudha Murty said.?
"Yes, what should be started on Thursday? They started Infosys on Thursday, and not only that! Not only that, but our son-in-law, who married our daughter, has been in England for 150 years from their ancestor's time, but they are very religious. After getting married, he asked why you start anything on Thursday. They said that we would go to Raghavendra Swami. He fasts every Thursday after just saying good day. Our son-in-law's mother fasts every Monday, but our son-in-law fasts on Thursdays."
This wasn't the first time Rishi Sunak made headlines, though.?
When he was elected as MP of Yorkshire, he broke barriers by taking his oath on the Bhagavad Gita inside the British parliament. It was a momentous occasion, as he became the first-ever politician to do so, and it spoke volumes about his commitment to his Indian heritage.?
Sunak's journey to the top is a testament to his hard work and dedication, and he's sure to inspire generations to come.
