Now, a?self-proclaimed 'time traveller'?has shared a?clip purportedly?from three weeks in the future showing who wins the FIFA World Cup.
The TikToker, who goes by the username @worldcuptimetraveller, has been sharing television footage of full-time scenes of matches that they claim to have taken in the future.?Back in 2021, the user had earlier correctly predicted England¡¯s loss to Italy in the 2020 Euro final.
Now, the TikTok user has claimed that the final of the 2022 World Cup will see Brazil battling France for the ultimate glory.??
The clip shows the Brazil fans going wild as they came to full-time with a 2-1 victory.
The scoreline graphic shows the 'time traveller' claiming that Richarlison and Marquinhos were the scorers for Tite¡¯s side and Antoine Griezmann was the scorer for France.??
Alongside the footage, they wrote: "Brazil just beat France in the 2022 World Cup final."
"I'm a time traveller," they added, telling their followers that they're 'helping' them out 'like last year'.
The video has garnered more than 1.8 million views on TikTok. People were left divided by the clip, as some were convinced by it and others remained cynical.?
"Imagine if he gets it right again," a person said.?
"Why does it look so¡ real?" a second person said.?
"Bro used the celebration clip of Richy's goal yesterday," a third argued.
"Funny way of spelling England," another user quipped.? ?
Many, however, were quick to point out that the clip of Brazilian fans celebrating was actually taken from Richarlison¡¯s goal in their opening World Cup match against Serbia.
While another pointed out that Giroud¡¯s France kit appears to have only one star above the badge, meaning that it must be from before the 2018 World Cup final, where France won the competition for the second time.
Both Brazil and France have already qualified for the round of 16 with a game to spare. Defending champions France beat Australia 4-1 in their opening game, following it up with a 2-1 win over Denmark.
On the other hand, Brazil started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Serbia. Last night, the Samba Boys beat Switzerland 1-0 in a hard-fought game to book their place in the knockout stages.
The final of the FIFA World Cup will be held on December 18 at Lusail Stadium.
