We have all heard of stories where a dog bites a human, but have you ever heard of a story where a man bites a dog? Sounds odd but it's not false at all. A man did in fact bite a dog, actually a police dog! Talk about audacity. Here's what happened.
In Delaware, US, an inebriated guy was detained after biting a police dog, attacking two troopers, and resisting arrest. At 1.41 a.m. on Saturday, the event occurred in the Wilmington parking lot.?
The accused is named Jamal Wing in an official statement posted on the Delaware State Police website. According to police, the 47-year-old man bit a K9 multiple times while avoiding arrest following a traffic stop.?
Jamal was pulled over for speeding on the highway in his Toyota Camry. Officials started a traffic stop, and the man came to a halt in a parking lot.
Jamal allegedly exited his vehicle without being told by troopers, and he also failed to comply with demands to return to the automobile.?
When authorities attempted to seize him, Jamal defied arrest by biting a K9. "Wing continued to resist and repeatedly bit the DSP K9."?
Wing was arrested a short time later after troopers smelt alcohol on his breath and observed symptoms of impairment, according to police.
He was injured during the altercation and was taken to a medical facility for treatment by EMS. Even at the hospital, the 47-year-old managed to avoid arrest.?
He injured a trooper, and the altercation caused damage to Delaware State Police property. "At the hospital, Wing continued to resist and assault a trooper, injuring the trooper and causing damage to Delaware State Police property," police said.?
He was charged with multiple crimes after completing his treatment, including two counts of second-degree assault on a police officer, first-degree assault on a Law Enforcement Animal, the third offence of driving under the influence, and two counts of using violence, force, and resisting arrest. Jamal Wing has also been accused of driving without appropriate insurance and exceeding posted speed limits.?
Jamal's case was handled at Justice of the Peace Court 11, where he was properly committed to a correctional facility on a cash bail of $34,200 (about Rs. 28.25 lakh).?
The two troopers and the K9 identified as Mako who were injured during the event had to be treated and evaluated at a nearby hospital.?
Wing is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a cash bond of $34,200. ???? ?
