The footage of a Tamil Nadu teacher's appalling treatment of his squad following a football match has left viewers stunned. There was a time when students were afraid of teachers and would do anything to avoid a heated situation, but that scenario subsided with time. Teachers are now not allowed to raise their hands on students as it negatively results in personality development, this teacher proved otherwise.?
The now-viral video shows the coach kicking and hitting the players, eliciting considerable indignation and calls for stern punishment against the coach.
In the video, the football team's kids are seen sitting on the ground?with the teacher, chatting to one of the players at the end of the line. He slaps the student within moments.?
As he speaks with others, he slaps and kicks them. He even tugs the hair of some of the players, who are seen attempting to defend themselves from the teacher's assault. The audience around the players is seen observing the situation without intervening.
At one point, the teacher asks one of the players, presumably the goalkeeper, "Are you a man or a woman?". "How can you let him score?" He asks another, "How did you let the ball get past you?" before adding, "You can't play under pressure." While beating another student, he inquired, "Why was there no communication."?
According to NDTV, the incident happened at a government-aided school near Mettur in Tamil Nadu's Salem district. The teacher accused of beating his kids has been identified as Annamalai.?
The video enraged many individuals, who demanded stern action. Many people asserted that the teacher should be banned from being a coach and we agree. Before anything, this is truly not sportsman spirit.?
