A butt surgery went wrong for a woman and now she is almost on her deathbed.?
52-year-old woman, Aleida Garcia Ortez, is fighting for her life after she got cooking oil injected into her buttocks during a 'botched' bum lift operation at home.?
Local media reports claim that she also underwent liposuction alongside the surgery at her house in the municipality of Fusagauga, Cundinamarca, in central Colombia.
According to Mirror UK,?Aleida paid $4 million Colombian pesos (Approx Rs 85,000) for the procedure.
However she became unwell just 72 hours after the operation. Currently she is in intensive care with a serious infection.
Talking to the local media, Fabian Diaz, the woman's son, said, "Three days after the buttock surgery her body reacted strangely. Her bum cheeks became very red, she had bruises everywhere and her skin was very shiny."
The woman was transferred to the Hospital San Rafael where doctors determined she was suffering an infection caused by cooking oil being injected into her buttocks during the operation.
She is currently in an intensive care at La Samaritana hospital in the Colombian capital of Bogota to receive specialist treatment.
Talking to La Republica, Fabion said, "There is little hope that my mother will live, she has bacteria in her body and it has already affected some bones."
Meanwhile the woman who performed the surgery is missing and it has not been revealed whether she even had the medical qualifications required to carry out the complex surgery.
The family has filed a criminal complaint about the incident, but life of the 52-year-old still hangs in balance.?
