The world is still fighting the coronavirus-induced pandemic and some countries are introducing strict restrictions to curb the menace of the infection.?
A four-week curfew has been implemented in Quebec, Canada, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. However, the curfew has certain exemptions - essential workers are allowed to travel and people who need to walk their pets are also allowed to step out.

Finding a way around it, a woman attempted to use the latter exemption and go out on a walk with her husband on King Street East in Sherbrooke. The catch is here that she walked her husband on a leash and claimed that she was 'walking her dog'. She told the cops that walking pets was allowed during the curfew hours.?
Isabelle Gendron, of the Sherbrooke Police Department, told local newspaper La Tribune, "The couple did not collaborate with the police at all. Statements of violation of the municipal by-law were given to them. The lady affirmed that she would not pay the ticket and even that she would accumulate them. The amount of findings for recidivism can go up to $6,000 (Rs 3.44 lakh)."

Surprisingly enough, this is not the first time someone used the 'walking dogs' as an excuse to violate curfew restrictions amid the pandemic. In November last year, a man from Czech Republic walked his stuffed dog after the 9:00 pm curfew.?
When the police had stopped to question him, the man claimed that he was walking his dog. "I'm walking a dog here, I'm not doing anything illegal here," he told the cops.
However, the cops didn't waste any time and realised that the dog was a stuffed toy. The man then claimed that it was just a practical joke and he was let go with a warning.?
