YouTuber Lee Jin Ho recently shared an alleged audio recording involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron and an ex-staff member of her agency. The audio contained a woman, believed to be Kim Sae Ron, admitting that she married her boyfriend after discovering she was pregnant and later aborted the baby.
This video came amid ongoing allegations involving Kim Soo Hyun, with claims that he had been in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. Kim Sae Ron's father has since held Lee Jin Ho's video responsible for exacerbating the stress that contributed to his daughter's tragic death.
Following the release of the audio, Kim Soo Hyun's fans began launching harsh attacks on the deceased actress, questioning her character and morals. However, Chinese netizens have now discovered that the audios shared by Lee Jin Ho were fabricated.
Chinese netizens have played a key role in uncovering the Kim Soo Hyun scandal with their keen investigative skills. After discovering photos of an alleged date between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron from 2015, they have now shared evidence proving that the audio posted by Lee Jin Ho was fabricated.
A post from a Chinese netizen, which claimed that the video shared by Lee Jin Ho was manipulated, recently went viral on X (formerly known as Twitter). The post, which has since been translated into Korean and English, stated that "the analysis is solely on the audio waveform from Lee Jin Ho's YouTube, without any judgement on the authenticity of the content." It also pointed out that "there are many editing traces between Kim Sae Ron's sentences and silences," suggesting that the audio was tampered with.
"When zoomed in, it's very clear that the cuts between Kim Saeron's sentences are extremely frequent." The post further added that "In the audio of Lee Jinho speaking, there's no pure silence even during pauses."
"The audio of Lee Jinho speaking, even with pauses, cannot possibly have pure silence at 0 dB."
Fans are now slamming Lee Jin Ho for 'fabricating' lies to malign the late actress's image to protect Kim Soo Hyun's image.
One user wrote, "Gold medallists are grasping at straws to divert attention from the fact that Kim Soo-hyun is a pedo, a groomer and a heartless narcissist. You all don’t fall for this."
Another user wrote, "You could always count on the cnetz to expose a cheater, paedophile and male whores."
A third person wrote, "I knew it didn't sound like her; it was pretty similar, though. Good job, I guess! But the reason why I know is because I've been binge-watching her K-dramas these days, and I could tell. Oh well, still, her marrying doesn't change the fact KSH groomed her. POINT STILL STANDS."
A fourth mentioned, "Isn't it sus to people how this guy has this recording and the pictures of Saeron with her partner, like Isn't all this private? So how did he get access to it?"
Kim Sae Ron's family has taken legal action against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for spreading false information about their late daughter. On March 17, they held a press conference at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, where they announced their lawsuit and demanded a public apology from Kim Soo Hyun.
The family's legal representative, Bu Ji Seok, was joined by Kwon Young Chan, director of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, and Kim Se Eui, head of the Garosero Research Institute.
Kim Se Eui stated that this lawsuit marks the beginning of their legal action, and they will continue to pursue justice.
