Former Wipro chief executive officer and managing director, Thierry Delaporte earned over $20 million (Rs 166 crore approx) in FY24, which made him the highest-paid CEO for the second year in a row.
As per Wipro's 20-F filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Delaporte received more than $3.9 million in salary and allowances, over $5 million in commission or variable pay, nearly $7 million categorized as other compensation, and over $4 million in long-term compensation.?
Additionally, the company reported severance-related costs of Rs 92.1 crore for the outgoing CEO during FY24.
Delaporte's compensation for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, encompasses the cost of accelerated vesting of 989,130 unvested stock options and cash compensation totaling $4.33 million.?

Pallia, Delaporte's successor, is set to receive an annual remuneration package of around Rs 50 crore, making it the second-highest among CEOs in the Indian information technology industry for FY25.
At number 2 is Infosys CEO Salil Parekh who received Rs 56 crore for the financial year 2023-2024.
HCLTech's CEO, C Vijayakumar, earned Rs 28.4 crore in FY22-FY23. Following him, LTI Mindtree pays the highest in the industry, with CEO Debashis Chatterjee, who assumed the position after the L&T and Mindtree merger in November 2022, earning Rs 17.5 crore in salary during FY22-23.
