Elon Musk tweeted this morning that he has finally?found a new CEO?to head Twitter.?"Excited to announce that I've hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!", Musk tweeted.??
Musk further added that he will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the social media platform within the next few weeks. This comes a few months after Musk said in December that he would step down as CEO once he found "someone foolish enough to take the job."?He tweeted in February 2023 that he would find a new Twitter CEO by the end of this year.
While Musk has not yet specified who will take over and just mentioned that "she will take over in six weeks", it is widely rumoured that NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino is in talks to become Twitter¡¯s CEO, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Linda Yaccarino is currently the chairperson of advertising and client partnerships at NBCUniversal and has been with the American media firm since 2011.
She had joined NBCUniversal as President of Cable Entertainment and Digital Advertising Sales in November 2011, before being promoted to Chairman, Advertising and Client Partnerships, a year later.
In her role as chairperson of advertising and client partnerships, Yaccarino has been credited with transforming the organisation¡¯s advertising and partnerships by bringing individual network teams together and becoming the ¡®bridge¡¯ across NBC properties.
In his current role, Yaccarino is responsible for managing over $10 billion in revenue annually, as per the Moneycontrol report. In October 2020, she became Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal.

Before joining NBCUniversal, Yaccarino served as Executive Vice President and COO of Turner Entertainment Advertising Sales, Marketing, and Acquisitions for 19 years (1992¨C2011).
She studied telecommunications at Penn State University and currently sits on the board at the School of Communications, as her LinkedIn profile shows.
Yaccarino has?several honours to her name.?She was recognised as one of The Hollywood Reporter¡¯s Women in Entertainment Power 100 in 2013 as one of the "Ten Most Powerful Women in TV"?by Adweek in 2011, and as a "CEO of Tomorrow" by Business Week. She also received the 2022 Women of the Year' award issued by the non-profit organisation 'She Runs It'. Linda has also been the Executive Chair at the?World Economic Forum since?January 2019.
